PROJECT BACKGROUND

Big Picture Pediatric Dentistry is based in Clear Lake, TX near Houston. Dr. Jason Brock and his team provide a patient experience that goes beyond dentistry. They specialize in providing dentistry to children by guiding them down a path for optimal dental health through compassionate oral hygene education making oral health fun. The office wanted to replace the carpet in their lobby with a wood visual to warm up the environment and coordinate with existing finishes.

CHALLENGE

Big Picture could not close their office to do the lobby area due to the front office and high traffic that comes through. The practice could allow for the installation to take place after hours.

SOLUTION

Dr. Jason Brock was presented with OneFlor USA’s Foundations Collection featuring SetaGrip Technology. SetaGrip is the perfect solution to install in a short period of time and with minimal prep work and clean up.

OUTCOME

The Foundations Collection with SetaGrip™ Technology in color Crescendo was the perfect color to coordinate with the exisiting finishes seen in the space. The 1st step was to rip up the carpet, then scrape up any existing debris left from the carpet adhesive. The bottom surface displayed a porous concrete. This type of surface does required a sealer to create a non-porous surface allowing the SetaGrip™ to adhere to the floor. The recommended sealer used is Wakol® PU280, which is a polyurathane primer. The sealer took an hour to dry, then the SetaGrip™ was installed. The entire job took a total of 4 hours and was completed after the office closed, so there would be no disruption in day-to-day business.

Dr. Jason Brock said he was very happy with the way SetaGrip™ looked in his waiting area. He couldn’t believe how fast and easy it was to install. It really added warmth and looked great with the existing finishes. It is much quieter than expected considering it replaced carpet. He was excited for his staff to see the finished look the next morning.
